DSL

DSL is establishing itself as the leading method for getting broadband services into homes and businesses in Australia. ADSL uses the ordinary twisted–pair copper wires that connect a normal telephone and fax to the outside world, yet delivers Internet access at speeds of up to 8 megabits per second – over a hundred times faster than a 56K modem. And, at the same time, ADSL users can continue to use their telephone or fax on the same line. NetComm has a range of ADSL modems and routers to suit every application.

Routers

Broadband is fast and always on. These two features allow a network of PCs to share a single broadband connection. Routers connect local networks to the Internet and NetComm has a router for every purpose: Firewalls to protect the PCs, VPNs to allow people to log on to a local network from outside, Wireless to allow users to connect without cables.

Networking

Once an office or home has more than one PC, they need to be connected so users can share files, printers and the broadband Internet connection. NetComm´s switches are inexpensive yet efficient and cater for home, small business and corporate networks. And NetComm´s cost–effective LAN cards are the perfect complement.

Wireless

Wireless technology frees us from the tyranny of the desktop, allowing you to set up anywhere within the range of a wireless network and to have full access to network and Internet services. Many public places such as airport lounges, hotels and coffee shops are setting up wireless hotspots, allowing anyone with a wireless adaptor in their laptop to connect with the world without having to plug in. NetComm´s implementation of the worldwide wireless standard means you can connect wherever you go.

Modems

Modems remain the cornerstone of most Australian´s data communications, whether they know it or not. And NetComm is the name on most Australian modems. Today, as always, NetComm leads the way with the first deployment of the new V.92 standard in Australia. V.92 speeds up connection times and allows the use of convenient telephone features like taking an incoming call without having to hang up on an Internet session.

IP Cameras

Professional surveillance is now within the reach of even small businesses with cost–effective IP cameras from NetComm. NetComm´s intelligent IP cameras connect to any Ethernet network, sending streaming motion JPEG images over a LAN or the Internet. This allows users to have a camera at one location and view live video at another location over the network/Internet. NetComm Network Cameras are intelligent enough not to require the services of a PC.

VoIP

Voice over IP (VoIP) is the ability to make telephone calls and send faxes over IP–based data networks. Once again, NetComm is at the forefront of developing the VoIP equipment which will allow business and home users to make the most of the cost efficiencies and productivity gains which this technology promises.

Mobile Broadband (3G)

NetComm offers true broadband mobility, not only throughout Australia but worldwide. NetComm has released 3G products that open up a world of broadband that could never be experienced with traditional ADSL technology.
Working with all the major Internet Service Providers (ISPs), these solutions provide business and home users the ultimate connection to the 3G network. NetComm will continue to pioneer the path to mobile broadband solutions.
