As a NetComm reseller, you can continue to lead the way in the introduction of VoIP in Australia with the imminent release of the V300 VoIP Adaptor. And by being first to offer your customers the benefits and savings of VoIP puts you in the box seat to earn trailing commissions from VoIP service providers - just like resellers of mobile and other telephony services.
The first device in Australia that allows you to use VoIP and a regular telephone service in the same handset, the V300 opens the door to widespread VoIP use in homes and small offices.
With the V300, you and your customers can run your regular phone services for incoming calls - and use VoIP for outgoing calls. You can also call out using your regular phone service. You get all the cost benefits of VoIP right away, without having to change your existing telephone numbers. And you get an extra telephone line thrown in to the bargain.
Technically, the V300 is a single port ATA with a 3-port Router (LAN ports) to connect multiple computers, plus a PSTN telephone port to plug in a normal landline service. The result is a device where you can make both VoIP calls and PSTN calls with the one phone.
Make sure you're among the first to offer this groundbreaking new benefit to your customers.

There may be times depending on your network setup when you may need to change the routing mode in a modem router device. Here is some Tech Tips on routing modes in NetComm Modem Routers and routing devices:
This configuration is normally used when you are creating a connection to a single computer and you are essentially turning off the routing functions so that the modem router acts as a "passive" modem. This means that all the device is doing is bringing in the Internet signal. In this situation the PC would need to run a separate PPPoE client (supplied with Windows XP or shareware versions downloadable from the Internet) to connect to the ISP's service.
Another time you would use bridge mode is when you a running a separate router.
Half Bridge Mode is used when connecting to a single PC but the PPPoE client is stored on the modem router. This allows the public IP address to be passed on to the connected PC without a login required creating an "always on" connection.
Full Routed Mode is mainly used when sharing Internet services among multiple PC's. The function of the router is to act as a traffic control device allowing multiple PC's to connect to the Internet with one public IP address.
Most NetComm Modem Routers can be configured for the different routing modes using the one page setup.
1. Connect the modem router to a PC
2. Open a web browser and type http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar
3. Refer to the manual for user name and password and steps on how to configure the different modes or refer to the Video Tutorials available on the NetComm website or on your installation CD.
